About Us

We believe in building stewardship of the land we have in common.

Mattie Wong

Mattie has a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Minnesota, where she met Will. Landscape Architecture was the perfect blend of ecology and art, with the promise of societal support and change. She loves to create spaces where people can begin to feel like their best selves and be connected to the magic of place. She’s gained ground experience as a gardener, a teacher, a farmer, and as a print designer. Plus, she really likes plants.

Mattie recommends:

  • miso soup
  • walking most places
  • listening to low thunder
  • The Creative Independent newsletter
  • being bad at something and then getting good at it

Will Linscott

Will graduated from the University of Minnesota and Florida State University with a Master’s in Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor’s in International Affairs, Urban Planning, and Portuguese, respectively. He cites curiosity as one of his best traits and loves thinking about relationships between systems at scales ranging from micro to macro. Designing self-sustaining ecosystems, working with communities around a focused issue, and building a dry-stack stone wall are equally important to Will in practice.

Will recommends:

  • laughing as often as physically possible
  • smelling the flowers on long walks
  • talking to strangers
  • looking on craigslist before shopping elsewhere
  • riding a bike with or without a reason

Why Radicle?

Why work with us? We focus on creative collaboration and meeting clients where they are. We believe in doing things with quality and creating meaningful places that last. We focus on materials and plants that contribute to our greater good, rather than cheaper, quick fixes that wreck our environment and our future. We offer a range of services for most budgets from masterplans and general planning documents to help the DIY’er to full design/build installation. If you want to become a good steward of our land and have a place that uplifts you, we can help you achieve that.

If you like native plants, pollinators, art, your neighbors, and dislike plastic, quantity over quality, and temporary fixes, we think we’d get along just fine.
